Many years ago when I was looking for an app that would automatically set my caps on when running a specific app & I found one called CapsWiz (http://www.barhamsoftware.com/CapsWiz/index.htm). In addition, it would also change the case of whatever text you had highlighted or in the clipboard to either UPPERCASE, lowercase or Capitalize. I purchased it many years ago & has worked great until recently. I recently found your TrayStatus app after being a DisplayFusion free user for many years. Works great for showing the Capslock & Numlock in the tray, but I just realized you also have triggers in the Pro version that does what CapsWiz does. I'm considering dropping CapsWiz altogether & buying your Pro version, but I would be missing out on the changing text case with hotkey support. Is that something you would be interested in adding? Thanks for the great software & consideration!
The triggers will help with toggling the caps lock, but unfortunately won't help with changing the selected text. We don't currently have plans to expand the triggers in this direction, we would need to support text manipulation in other apps which isn't possible right now. Sorry for the bad news, it might be something we revisit in the future. Thanks!

Thanks Jon for the follow-up even though it's not what I wanted to hear. :/
BTW, it doesn't need to work with with the triggers or individual apps. You just need to change the case with the hotkeys. And since it only needs to work with the standard Windows clipboard data, it should work across every app. The app I use was written back in the Windows 2000 days & remarkably still works in Windows 10. Just a thought!

Interesting. So are those macros run from generic hot keys? Trying to determine if it would work the same & whether I would need the Pro version. I might go ahead & buy Tray Status Pro, but use the free version of Clipboard Fusion since I not sure I would all the other stuff that the Pro version gets you. Hmm. Would be nice to have all Binary Fortress apps instead of a mish mash of different apps from different people that no longer update their apps. Thanks for heads up!

OK, to answer to my own question I've downloaded the ClipboardFusion app & it's very slick. Yes, I can change the case on highlighted text with macros using a hotkey. In fact, I can use the same hotkeys from CapsWiz! By the way, I found different macros that makes it work just like CapsWiz: One for UPPERCASE & another for lowercase. Didn't find one for rEVERSE cASE like CapsWiz, but there was one for Title Case that CapsWiz doesn't have. Nice!
It also looks like the macro hotkeys are part of the free version, but the instant trigger(scrubbing, etc) is only part of the Pro version? Still kind of confused about that.
Looking more like I need to buy the Pro version of TrayStatus & the free version of ClipboardFusion will suffice.
If I only use the software on my work computer do I still need to buy the Personal License instead of the Standard License if I never install it on another machine? Nobody else uses my PC. Granted there is only a $5 difference between the two. Just want to make sure I get the right version.

Thanks! I bought it & the triggers are working great! Will have to double check the other apps to see if they offer Pro features I will need to have, but so far I think I'm good. Thanks for the support!
No worries, glad to hear it. Thank you for your purchase!
