I just downloaded TrayStatus, using the free version to monitor the status of Caps, Number and Scroll lock, since my new keyboard does not have an indicator for those.

However, that keyboard also has an Fn lock button, and it would be great to have an indicator for that too!

If it is useful, it is the Microsoft Designer Bluetooth keyboard, which comes paired with a bluetooth mouse.

Unfortunately it's not possible for TrayStatus to monitor the FN key. That's a hardware key on the keyboard that alters which key codes get sent to the computer. Your laptop may have keyboard drivers that can show the status of the FN key though.

Actually my bad, I don't think the keyboard drivers can show it either :(

I have a Logitech keyboard, and I can see that their software can detect the toggle of the FN key (you can also set it from their application). So maybe there is way to do this for some... but yeah I can imagine it would be low on the priority maybe if it's for limited users and each driver/keyboard combo is different.

It's the one thing that I would love TrayStatus to do though, as the other lock keys have keyboard lights.
