I tried to edit the item in "Custom Performance Counter Indicators".

I can't see the item in opened the "Select a Performance Counter" windows.

This can happen if the Windows Performance Counters are corrupted. Could you try the steps in the "Resolving issues with Windows Performance Counters" section of this page?
https://www.traystatus.com/FAQ/#harddriveactivityerror

Please let me know if you still run into any trouble at all.

Thanks!

I have no problem adding "Custom Performance Counter".
However, there is a problem when trying to edit Custom Performance Counter.
The category and counter in "Custom Performance Counter" to added is empty when I want to edit that.
In general, I should seen again the category and counter value when I edit that.

Strange! I don't have any issues editing the Customer Counters either. If you add a different type of counter and then edit it, do you get the same result?

Interesting! The drop-downs are also blank at first when you click the Add button as well. On my system here, the drop-downs always have something in them, even when adding a new one.

When you click Edit and they're blank, if you open one of the drop-downs, is the list blank as well?

Also, could you attach a copy of your troubleshooting info?

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks, I wonder if this is because you have Windows 10 Korean. I will setup a Win10 Korean test machine and see what I can find out :)

Just tested on a Win 10 Korean machine and everything still works correctly for me, so I'm not sure what might be happening on your machine :(

Could you try the steps in the post I linked in post #2 above anyways to see if that makes any difference?

I've tried the https://www.traystatus.com/FAQ/#harddriveactivityerror.

Unfortunately, I can not solve this problem.

When you do Edit and the drop-downs are blank, are they also blank if you click to open them?

I completely removed TrayStatus from my computer.

And I rebooted my computer.

I have reinstalled TrayStatus on my computer.

Finally, I solved this problem.

Thank you for your interest in my issue.

No worries, glad to hear you were able to solve it! I'm not sure what would have caused that, but if it happens again, please let me know. I'll get a registry export from you so that I can test with your exact settings :)

Might I suggest adding a "pause" command at the end of the text in the Reset bat file so that the user can read the results before the command window closes.
